After some disappointing scores earlier, we have concluded our Summer Season with four successive victories.
25/9 – A home match against Cheddington resulted in a win by 82-55 with Chess Vale winning on three rinks and Cheddington on one. Top rink was Colin Woods, Pauline Loakes and Ron Nettleton.
28/9 – This was an away match a Bovingdon. The winning rinks were shared two apiece but we came out on top by 64-54. Our top rink was a combined effort with the home team lending us one player. The two Chess Vale players were Brian Rogers and Ron Nettleton.
1/10 – Another home match, this time against Kitcheners. The overall score was 92-59 with Chess Vale winning on three rinks. The top rink was Kevin Jones, Jean Nettleton and Alan Sherrock with that team achieving a hot shot. Well done to all.
5/10 – Our final home game against London Welsh. In this game, we won on all four rinks with a final score of 78-43. Our top rink was Colin Woods, Jean Nettleton and Sheila Clarke.
Attention will now turn to our Winter Sunday League which commence next Sunday – 12 October
