A collection of disappointing results in the past week.
Last Tuesday, the Ladies played a triples match against Amersham Ladies. They found the going tough and eventually lost on all three rinks by a score of 13-37.
Also on Tuesday, the Vets team pushed Berkhamsted very hard but went down by five shots 31-36. This result meant that we are still dependant on other scores if we are not to be relegated.
Another disappointment on Wednesday evening in the Ray Keen League. A win would have put us top but we lost narrowly to Hazlemere by 17-21. Although we finished level on points with the two Chesham sides, our shot difference meant that we finished in third place.
Next up was a trip to Wraysbury to play on their very short and narrow green. We didn’t get to grips with the green and lost by 27-71.
On Saturday we finally achieved a victory against Chesham. This was a five-rink game where we won on four rinks and tied on the other. Final score was 90-64. Our top rink was Sheila Dominic, Jean Andrews, Brian Wright and Alan Sherrock
