This week, we have competed against two sides who also bowl on artificial greens.
On Tuesday we entertained Wraysbury. Two of the rinks ended in ties but with the visitors winning on two of the remaining rinks, the final score was Chess Vale 69 Wraysbury 80. Our only winning rink and thus top rink comprised of Dave Holt, Ron Nettleton and Sheila Clarke.
The second match took place today and was our first away match of the Season. We travelled a short distance to Hazlemere but couldn’t quite complete a victory. Hazlemere won on two rinks to our one and they edged the game by 54-47. Our winning rink was Bob Baker, Freda Holt and Pete West.
